Baler Training Outline and
Compactor Training Outline
PTR Baler & Compactor offers periodic training at our Philadelphia facility. Participants receive a tour of our factory that showcases the manufacturing of our various recycling equipment. The training is an intensive study of schematic reading, basic hydraulic and electrical theory with breakdown and problem troubleshooting of PTR Balers and Compacting equipment.
The trainer is Mike Bergeron who has spent over two decades with PTR. Mike has well rounded experience both in the field as a technician and in our offices as a service manager overseeing the operations of our Baltimore and Philadelphia service group. Mike has also served in our tech support department guiding technicians from our vast network of service companies that maintain our equipment throughout the US, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
The seminar is a two day course at our factory where the individual will receive a close up look at the proper operation, repair and preventive maintenance that stresses the safe operation of our machinery. Each trainee will receive a certificate of completion stating that they were factory trained at our Philadelphia plant.
The cost is $375.00 per person. Lodging and transportation is up to each participant. We suggest flying into Philadelphia International Airport or driving to Philadelphia “The Hampton Inn,” Bensalem, PA for lodging (215-245-5222) is a favorite location to stay. There is also the Red Roof Inn, Trevose, PA (215-244-9422). I meet the techs at the motel on the first day and have them follow me into Philadelphia to the plant.
Trainees need to bring hand tools: screwdrivers, wire strippers, pliers and a multi meter. If you have any questions, please contact Mike at 1-800-523-1155, ext. 2224.
