Port Richmond Industrial Development Enterprise (P.R.I.D.E.)
PTR Baler and Compactor Company is proud to be a member of PRIDE (Port Richmond
Industrial Development Enterprise). In striving to continually better the community
that surrounds our business, PTR has become involved in an undertaking to fix up
our neighborhood. PRIDE is a group of local small businesses who have come together
to improve the safety and appearance of the area. By collaborating with local
businesses, government and community members, PRIDE aims to revitalize the area in
which we work and live. With Port Richmond a safer, more inviting area, businesses
and residents alike will be more inclined to move or expand into this area.
Since PRIDE was started
we have accomplished many of our goals:
Govenor Rendell meets the staff of PTR durring a Port Richmond Pride rally
• A private security force has been hired to patrol the neighborhood
in the evening.
• A cleaning service has been contracted to clean the sidewalks
and areas in the 12 block radius.
• An urban architectural firm has been hired to redesign the
neighborhood.
As Pride carries forward into the next century,
we intend to continue our pledge to this community. We are hoping
to redesign our neighborhood infrastructure to resemble a 21st
century urban industrial park.
